Reservation Information
Hotel Walloon and the surrounding Village of Walloon Lake are truly hidden gems. Traditional rates offer nightly accommodations as well as evening hors d'oeuvres on the day of arrival through breakfast on the day of departure in the Hotel Lobby. Additional food and beverage offerings and experiences are available through Walloon Lake Inn or from Barrel Back Restaurant offered as room service or in the restaurants during traditional dining times for an additional charge. Before you visit us, here are a few things to know for the best guest experience.
ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
We guarantee your room to be ready at 4:00pm on your arrival day. Check-out time is 11:00am. In some instances, early arrivals after 12:00pm and late check-outs can be accommodated. An additional half day rate may be charged if applicable. If you plan to arrive prior to 4:00pm please notify the Concierge so you can enjoy the many activities Hotel Walloon and the surrounding area have to offer while your room is being prepared.
MINIMUM LENGTH OF STAY
It is the policy of Hotel Walloon to always reserve Friday and Saturday together. During the peak season, two additional consecutive days must also be included. Some holidays, including 4th of July Weekend, may require a four night minimum with specific dates.
DEPOSIT
A deposit in the amount of the first night room rate is required at the time of reservation. The balance of your stay will be authorized upon your arrival.
CANCELLATIONS
Due to our size, cancellations affect us significantly; therefore, we adhere to strict cancellation policies. Cancellations that occur closer to arrival are subject to forfeiture of the deposit.
Reservations surrounding the Fourth of July must be canceled or changed outside two (2) months before the arrival date and require a non-refundable deposit of half of the reservation amount at that time. The remaining balance will be charged one (1) month prior. Reservations canceled within one month of arrival will forfeit the entire prepaid amount. A specific four (4) night minimum length of stay is required surrounding this holiday, as determined by the Hotel.
Reservations arriving Memorial Day through Labor Day that are cancelled between 1 month and 15 days prior to your arrival date, will result in a cancellation fee of 50% of your deposit. Deposits will be forfeited on reservations cancelled within 14 days of your arrival date. Hotel Group Buyouts: Reservations must be cancelled outside of thirty (30) days prior to the arrival date or first night deposit is forfeit.
Reservations arriving Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day must be cancelled or changed outside of fourteen (14) days prior to the arrival date. Deposits will be forfeited on reservations cancelled within the cancellation period.
Reservations arriving outside of the dates above must be cancelled or changed outside of seven (7) days prior to the arrival date. Deposits will be forfeited on reservations cancelled within the cancellation period.
PET POLICY
To maintain our guest rooms and property, Hotel Walloon operates as a pet-free facility and does not allow for pets or therapy animals.
Service animals, covered under the American Disability Act, are permitted as required by law. Service animals must be on a leash, must always accompany their owner, and are not permitted on furnishings. Additional charges may apply in the event of damage to the guest room or facilities.
ACCOMMODATIONS
All guests must be accommodated in a bed or a crib. Due to our fire code, guests are not permitted to sleep in other area, including on the floor. Roll-away beds are not available.
Every attempt will be made to fulfill requests such as a bathtub or shower preference, a specific room number, or dock slip. Please note these requests are not guaranteed and changes may be made to accommodate other guests.
SMOKING
In accordance with Michigan’s Smoke Free Law, we are committed to maintaining a smoke-free environment on Hotel Walloon property, including our private beach area, guest room balconies, and the grounds. All forms of smoking are prohibited on Hotel Walloon property as is the burning of candles or incense.
GIFT CERTIFICATES
Gift certificates may be purchased in any amount and must be presented at the time of use. Certificates may not be used to place a deposit on a room reservation or to purchase other gift certificates and cannot be redeemed for cash. Hotel Walloon will not be held responsible if any gift certificate is lost, stolen, or destroyed.
Gift certificates that are purchased or received from the Walloon Lake Inn or Barrel Back Restaurant are not redeemable at Hotel Walloon. Restaurant gift certificates must be redeemed onsite at the individual restaurant’s property.
