Over a century ago, along the shores of a pristine Northern Michigan lake, a charming country inn first welcomed travelers who journeyed from afar to experience the natural beauty of Walloon Lake. Originally known as Fern Cottage, the Inn quickly became a beloved destination and served as a docking point for steamboats transporting guests to lakeside hotels and private cottages.
Renamed Walloon Lake Inn in 1981, the property evolved into both a bed and breakfast and a celebrated restaurant. Today, we proudly honor that rich legacy while continuing to host memorable gatherings on the very shores that first drew visitors more than one hundred years ago.
