ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

Guest rooms are guaranteed for arrival at 4:00pm. Check out is at 11:00am.

Early arrivals after 12:00pm and late departures may be accommodated based on availability. A half day rate may apply. Guests arriving prior to 4:00pm are encouraged to notify our Concierge in advance so we may assist with arrangements while your room is being prepared. Arrivals are not permitted before 12:00pm on the day of check in.

MINIMUM LENGTH OF STAY

A two (2) night minimum stay is required for most of the year.

During peak season, late June through the majority of August, a four (4) night minimum is required for weekend stays inclusive of Friday and Saturday evenings.

DEPOSIT

A deposit equal to the first night’s room rate is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance will be authorized upon arrival.

CANCELLATIONS

Due to our intimate size and limited inventory, cancellations significantly impact operations. Cancellations made within the applicable window will result in forfeiture of the required deposit.

Hotel Group Buyouts

Individual reservations made within a contracted Hotel buyout must be cancelled outside of one month prior to arrival. Cancellations received within one month of arrival will result in forfeiture of the first night’s deposit. Cancellations received within fourteen 14 days of arrival will be charged the full reservation amount.

All Hotel buyouts are governed exclusively by the terms and conditions outlined in the fully executed group contract.

Fourth of July

Reservations must be cancelled outside of two (2) months prior to arrival. A non-refundable pre-payment equal to 50% of the reservation is required at two (2) months with the remaining balance due one (1) month prior to your arrival date. A four (4) night minimum stay applies.

Memorial Day through Labor Day

Reservations must be cancelled outside of one month to the arrival date. Cancellations between one (1) month and fifteen (15) days will incur a cancellation fee of fifty percent (50%) of the deposit. Deposits are fully forfeited within fourteen (14) days of your arrival date.

Christmas Eve through New Year’s Day

Reservations must be cancelled outside of fourteen (14) days prior to arrival. Deposits are forfeited within fourteen (14) days of your arrival date.

All Other Dates

Reservations must be cancelled outside of seven (7) days prior to arrival. Deposits are forfeited within seven (7) days of your arrival date.

PET POLICY

To preserve the comfort and condition of our guest rooms and public spaces, Hotel Walloon operates as a pet free property and does not permit pets or therapy animals.

Service animals, as defined and protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act, are welcome in accordance with federal law. Service animals must remain leashed at all times, stay with their handler, and are not permitted on furnishings. The Hotel reserves the right to assess additional charges in the event of damage to guest rooms or facilities.

ACCOMMODATIONS

All guests must be accommodated in a bed or crib. In accordance with fire code regulations, sleeping on the floor or in any area not designated for sleeping is not permitted. Rollaway beds are not available.

We are pleased to note preferences such as a bathtub or shower request, a specific room number, or a dock slip. While every effort will be made to accommodate these requests, they cannot be guaranteed and may be adjusted to best serve all guests.

SMOKING

In accordance with Michigan’s Smoke Free Law, Hotel Walloon is committed to maintaining a completely smoke free environment. Smoking is prohibited throughout the property, including guest rooms, private balconies, the beach, and all outdoor grounds.

The use of all smoking products is not permitted, and the burning of candles or incense is strictly prohibited.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift certificates are available for purchase in any denomination and must be presented at the time of redemption. Certificates may not be used toward a room deposit, applied to the purchase of additional gift certificates, or redeemed for cash. Hotel Walloon is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged certificates.

Gift certificates purchased from or issued by the Walloon Lake Inn or Barrel Back Restaurant are not redeemable at Hotel Walloon.

Restaurant gift certificates must be redeemed directly at the respective restaurant location and may not be applied toward accommodations at the Hotel.
